The Ohio State Buckeyes are currently the top team in America, clearly ahead of the competition. It’s not just because quarterback Julian Sayin is completing 80% of his passes or because the projected top wide receivers for the upcoming NFL Draft — Carnell Tate and Jeremiah Smith — are dominating secondary defenses. Ohio State’s defense, led by Matt Patricia, has given up only 41 points across their seven games.
In a week where three ranked teams lost to unranked competitors, and with only one unbeaten squad remaining in each of the Power 4 conferences, the Buckeyes look poised to defend their national championship title.
However, a significant challenge lies ahead: Michigan. Head coach Ryan Day has yet to defeat the Wolverines since 2019. Here’s a breakdown of my Top 25 rankings after Week 8 of the college football season:

Julian Sayin passed for 393 yards and four touchdowns, completing 85.7% of his throws. Wide receivers Carnell Tate and Jeremiah Smith combined for 15 receptions, 208 yards, and two touchdowns. The Buckeyes have achieved two shutouts in seven games, establishing themselves as superior in college football this season.
2. Indiana (7-0)
Week 8 result: Defeated Michigan State, 38-13
Quarterback Fernando Mendoza threw for 332 yards and four touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes in yet another comfortable victory for the Hoosiers. They seem poised to compete with Ohio State as the top teams in 2025.
3. Texas A&M (7-0)
Week 8 result: Defeated Arkansas, 45-42
The Aggies triumphed in a high-scoring match to secure their seventh win this season, marking their first 7-0 start since 1994. Texas A&M remains the sole unbeaten team in the SEC, with quarterback Marcel Reed accounting for 335 total yards and four touchdowns in the victory 777 lucky slots login register philippines.

5. Oregon (6-1)
Week 8 result: Defeated Rutgers, 56-10

9. Tennessee (5-2)
Week 8 result: Lost to Alabama, 37-20
Tennessee struggled early, giving up a crucial 14-point swing via a goal-line interception, which was returned for an Alabama touchdown. To add to their woes, a safety from an intentional grounding call further diminished their chances of victory.
